Castletown Hotel (formerly the St Clair Arms Hotel)

Castletown Hotel was built in the late 19th century and was formerly the Post Office. Restored to its former glory the hotel has all the qualities of a family-run hotel, with modern additions. The public bar has pool, darts and sports TV while the lounge bar offers a perfect setting in which to unwind.

The hotel has double, twin and family rooms, which can accommodate 4 people. Rooms are all en suite with baths and/or showers. It also has rooms with king-size double beds. All beds are newly purchased.

The menu offers an exciting fusion of local produce, flavours and culinary expertise coupled with fine wine and great service.

The hotel is minutes from the Castle of Mey. All ferry ports are easily accessible and the Old Pulteney Distillery is only 20 minutes away. Tours can be arranged.

John O'Groats is 15-minutes' drive while Dunnet Head is only 5 minutes away.

Castletown Hotel has 3 quality golf courses - Reay, Wick and Thurso which are all easily accessible. Green fees can be arranged.

Come up the A9 from Inverness, following the signs for Thurso.As you approach Thurso you see the Rugby Field on your left and then a set of traffic lights. At these lights turn Right marked Castletown, John O Groats. Follow the road for 10km until you come to Castletown and you will find Hotel in the Centre on the right 100m past the Church.
